Yesterday I had my first track day after the LS7 conversion. I post the link to a Google video, but I have to warn you that the quality is awful. The original file has 30 MB, and Google converts it into something which is almost not visible. But I hope that it gives you some impression. At least the sound is ok but you need a loudspeaker system on your PC, dont listen to it on the laptop, it sounds awful without all the beautiful American V8 low frequencies...

Before you ask: the second GTR is a drysumped 600HP from AS, running on slicks. Incredible difference that makes, compared to my Pirelli street tires.

All in all I have to say that I am very satisfied. The car is actually much faster than I am, I can use its potential only to a small fraction. I was also not using the full rev band due to some fuel system issues we still have to solve. But the LS7 engine package is simply great, temps stayed at 95C water and 95 to max. 105C oil. No stalling under hard breaking etc. etc. Just a great package. In addition I could drive from home to the track and back (ca. 100km one way), do all the driving on the track and still the fuel tanks are 1/4 full!!

Cool car!
Is that a sequential gear box? More details, pls

BTW, how does the car tax work over there when you change engines?

The sequential shift is from a Czech company, called Seqshift. They develop that for Porsche cars. I have already the improved version, fully electronically controlled (controller installed behind the passenger seat) and with strong magnets directly mounted on the transaxle to make shifts lighter and smoother. Can be parametrised through special Software as well and uses rpm input to speed up shifts at higher speeds.

But they offer that only for GT2/3 or 6-speed Getrag boxes, which are all cable operated. It is not cheap, either.

I think the link to their website is: http://www.sqsracing.com/index.php

I have never dealt with them directly, my mechanic did that. I also have a prototype installed, not a regular product, I´m told.

MMMMM very nice, and that engine sounds very good, also that shifting somtimes the car sounds like a fast bike, is it also programmed to give automatic a bit gas when you do downshifts? so you don't have to do heel & toe stuf?(I hate that because I can't/like ithehe)
Nice car, nice engine and gearbox...and also good to see it LHDbiggrin maybe in a few years I can buy ithehe
