In response to Crafty’s engines in Ultimas thread.

Does anyone have an opinion wether this would fit into an Ultima.

It’s the V12 out of the Toyota Century Limousine, 5 liters displacement, DOHC heads, variable valve timing

I have a measurement for an LS2, at 27.5” from front of water pump to rear bell housing face, of a PDF that was linked to hear some time ago.

This V12 appears to be about 100mm longer than a small block, will it fit ?

Oh and this ones been modified and making some improved power

Ahhhh...... I expected better of you than that Ryan.....Here I am trying to kill the "will this fit in an Ultima" threads and you've come up with an engine that's:

1. Probably only available in Japan
2. Would be a nighmare for parts
3. No performance parts available
4. Its too long.
5. Is probably too wide
6. Would need a special computer
7. Would need a special trans adaptor
8. Would need custom exhaust
9. Would need rerouting all plumbing
10. Probably "Limosine" performance
etc
etc
etc
etc

I wonder if the Jag V12 would fit.... thats only about 200mm longer than the SBC and as its all alloy its only about 100kgs heavier... readily available as well.

Yep and there would be no way i could regiser it in Australia with that engine either. Maybe we need a post of the rough dimensions of the engine bay, say
firewall to bell housing - max,
fire wall to axle centre line, though i think that came up recently.

Aye Top secret has indeed used that engine in their latest Supra and with a twin turbo set up they made around 1200bhp. I think that engine was also used in some of the Lexus cars. I will see what I can find out.

Ok guys bit of info. The 1GZ-FE was only fitted to the Toyota 97+ Century Crown, in NA form its pushing out around the 330-370bhp. Apparently the chances of getting hold of one is very small and they cost a bucket load as well as having around 3 ecu's to wire in!

If anyone is interested here is a vid of the Supra in question (unfortuatly all the talk is in japanise)
