Black Viper GTS, 4500 miles, 2000 model, car has developed a leak on gearbox input shaft, unfortunately warranty has just expired. Anyone else experienced similar problem? Art

It is the box input shaft yeah? And not the rear main crank seal on the motor (these were prone to leaking on '97 year cars esp). If it is the input shaft, taking the box out is fairly straight forward (even a quick release connector on the clutch line). The input shaft seal is installed from the fluid side. You will have to remove the clutch slave cylinder, and the housing. The new seals tapped into the housing from the rear.

cheers for replies ,i have had inspection plate off and fluid leaking is clear and coming from box side, priced up seal £6.75 "anybody feeling feeling strong "look forward to meeting at one of the venues regards art
