Well Steve said it wouldnt last and although it didnt fail, I was worried it would and leave me high and dry so I have a splendid new one from Steve Reid - Excellent service and had a good old chinwag. Take a look on Myphotoalbum for the results... incidentally Steve says he has only one left and is not planning to make any more...

Its Stainless with a brass pressure neck silver soldered in place... my only niggle (and it is just a niggle Steve ) is the overflow outlet from the neck to the overflow tank was a bit short and I had a job fitting a jubilee clip in place without fouling the pressure cap. I know Steve will say I should have the seal on the swirl tank and the pressure cap on the header tank... but I'm the other denomination on that one (sorry Steve)

You know I have just noticed on my bank statement that Steve (the gamekeeper) didnt even charge me for the radiator seal cap he offered to send me with the swirl tank... Thanks again Steve. Recommended !
