Sound proofing
Discussion
Hey,
Just wondering that the most succesful ways are to soundproof a classic mini? The foam behine the engine obviously goes some way to achieveing this but is there a better fabric to use or anything else I can do? I have a Cooper S and its quite loud, over a long journey I need some paracetomol!!!!!
Cheers!

With no soundproofing, just a basic set of carpets, straight-cut gearbox, straight-cut drop gears, twin 1.5 SU's with only K & N filters, a big-bore, but reasonably quiet exhaust system, ear plugs are a must at, say 5000 rpm in top, that's just over 70 mph with my 3.9 final drive ratio.
However, for a 7.4 seconds 0-60 mph time it's worth it!
