I've just found an article which indicates that the presenters of TG have defected to Channel 5.

I for one am hoping that they can get back to making programs that motoring enthusiasts can enjoy. I've had enough of reviews featuring MPV's/Shopping trolleys and Wobbly Jelly.

This could be very good news. Maybe C5 will be less p.c. and show a motoring programme for motor enthusiasts. Wow now there's a novel idea!
Only need Clarkson and good old days would be back!

Well, it could be good (never thought that I would say that about Channel 5). It still does puzzle me about Top Gear though - it is the most watched programme on BBC2 - yet they axe the format!?!?!

Why?

I am sure that someone in the BBC knows, but I thought that they were supposed to give us what we (the license payer) want! If they dont then the commercial channels will.

I guess that BBC2 is too high-brow for all us Petrol Heads....

Cheers,

Paul

Perhaps the government refused to keep giving the Beeb cash unless it dropped all of its filthy car programs... (no f1, no TG .....)

I quite like channel 5, they brought us MOTO GP, and Cart racing with full races instead of the Beeb oh here's 30 mins inbetween some snooker 32nd round frames. I hope they do take TG up back to where it was.

shame though, i quite liked Jason Barlow (who also looks and sounds like my old housemate)he was the only thing that held drivel together, but if they could get JC and Tiff back together on 5 id be well happy. Only worry is that 5 wont put enough money into it, and it ends up like Carnage!
