actech,
here's a reply from the "Local Roads " thread about the site:
"
Because the numbers attending PistonFest are ever-increasing, we have had to move our plot to a larger section. This is now next to the paddock, and a much larger & flatter area than we originally had been allocated.
The venue owners are constructing 2 roads purely for our access, and they fully understand our concerns about ground clearances.
We walked the plot last Wednesday, and it was fine for all (based on a 3" clearance for Vipers/ TVR's/ Lambo's etc)- and the area we now have will also be rolled and flattened even more by the time the event comes around........hopefully this answers your concerns (it was one of our main points at the site survey).
Obviously speeds on-site will have to be kept to a minimum because of public & pedestrians etc, there will be marshalls to ensure that this happens & this should also help prevent any "bottoming out". There will be no ramps whatsoever, and the access roads for us will be freshly laid immediately before PistonFest. A big commitment from the venue has been understood & offered to ensure our needs are met.
"
Hopefully this helps address some of your concerns.

So the pass area and the PH tent area are two separate places then
PetrolTed said: Yep, your call. If you've got a car pass then no doubt you'll want to park with the shiny motors during the day.
I was under the impression we were paying for PH parking-by-tent sort of arrangment
Where abouts in all this does the PH marquee/bar/etc fit
minimax said: sorry for my thickness, all I care about re: camping is that my beauty can be parked next to the tent....
Is this the case cos it looks to me that the pass enclosure is entirely separate to the camping area
:awaitinganirateresponse:
To drive your vehicle from the main entrance road (next to the public car parks) & then turn right, down the approach road towards the PistonFest enclosure, you will require a PistonFest Car Pass. You will be able to move your vehicle from the PistonFest Dispay Enclosure (the red area) to the campsite, so you will be able to park your vehicle next to your tent if you wish to.
If you choose not to purchase a PistonFest Car Pass, your vehicle movements will be restricted to the Public parking area only.
Hopefully this information helps.
Yeah, wondering why I paid the extra tenner too
Mine's hardly a "show car" and it looks like you can park behind the trade stands next to your tent (with loads of other PHers) for free
Or am I missing something
