Was on the M4 last night and a big stone flicked up that has left a 4 inch crack in the windscreen. What an arse, this car is bloody cursed!!!!
Anyway, should be able to get the insurance to cover the replacement but does anyone know if there is anything special or awkward about the screens....

only the is it or isn't it heated issue.
probably not an issue for an r56 because you probably can't get pattern ones.. but it will take the autowindscreens type people a little while to get a "MINI" branded screen even for an r53 (hence my autowindscreens branded one!).
If it makes you feel any better we hit a pigeon at 30 the other week. No problem.
5 minutes later we hit another pigeon at 90 leptons! Get out of car, check screen...fine! Only feathers stuck on.
A week later the car was sitting in the sun and developed a 6 inch crack straight over where the bloody pigeon hit!
