Mini Electrical Problem.. Need help..
Discussion
Hey guys, ive got a bit of a problem on my rover mini thirty.. Its an 89 model and it seems as though the indicator stalk has stopped working.. Is this a common mini problem? What could be the problem? Im new to the whole mini schene so ide really appreciate your help. Ive seen a NIB indicator stalk in my spec and its £50's! Does anyone have a second hand one? My uncles and electrician and hes gonna have a look at it soon, if it turns out the stalk is the problem would anyone be able to sell me a second hand one in good working order at a lower price? I washed the engine bay out many months ago with a jet wash at the workshop, could that have caused a problem?

The hazzard light switch is working fine. The relay that your talking about where is that and how do i get to it? The stalk when pushed down (as in, towards the dash) works as the main beam switchs on, but when pulled back (as when you flash your lights to say thankyou for example) doesnt work.. The indicator up and down does not work either.. What does this mean??

If the beam doesnt work it does sound like the stalk is knackered.
Indicators can be funny as they are routed through the hazard light switch, so if they gets knackered it can stop the indicators working, thats happened to mine before.
Maybe worth trying a new hazard switch first as they are only a fiver. Just in case.
