Rather than hijack the TT steering wheel thread I thought I'd start a new thread...

I have a '99 C2 with electric seats. Believe they're standard (non-ruffled leather and frankly not enough side bolstering to be considered the sports option imo). Now, the seat back adjusts electrically back and forth on the vertical 'button' down on the base of the seat but the horizontal button adjacent to that does nothing and doesn't seem like it ever did - it doesn't move at all.

Is this normal and how else can I drop the seats if so (e.g. mucking about with the mounts) - I feel like I'm sat on a cushion!

Cheers,

Chris

the forward/back button should move at both ends to provide height adjustment for the front and back of the seat bolster.

or at least, mine did.

Now for the bad news. If you opt for the full electric seats they sit about 20mm higher than the manual adjusting seats, presumably to accommodate the electric gubbins underneath. I can't get into a Boxster with full electric seats but I have no trouble with the less expensive variety. I don't know if you can swap in a set of manual sports seats or even better a couple of the 'Schalensitze' (sorry I don't know the English for this)

Thanks, but I'm beginning to think that I don't have the full electric seat pack - there is no drivers side memory option and front/rear adjustment (on the rail) is manual (is this electric on the full pack?!?).

Done some googling and can only find a picture of what I assume is the full electric pack:

So looks like I have standard seats, do they still have electric rake adjustment and is it possible to drop them on the mounts?

Thanks again,

Chris
