Free Playstation 2 and GT3 game
Discussion
Thought that would get your attention!
Alexei Sayle's column, P65 in December's Car magazine (sad I know but it does have an article on the Noble M12, Tamora, Tuscan S etc. in it) has an interesting observation. It seems that PetrolTed has a supporter who frequents the sliproad for Southport just after it leaves the M57 in the Liverpool area.
Anybody prepared to own up to being responsible for the graffiti resplendent in isolation on the overhead bridge? The word content is confusing Alexei as 'it makes no sense'
Apparently "THE PIES THE PIES" is the message.
Anyone seen it? All suggestions to Alexei and if you win the Playstation 2 and GT3 game for the letter of the month then I want a free go.

It's not a great secret if you're from Merseyside (so why doesn't Alexei know?). The Pies were a band, way back before the earth cooled (the '70s) who wrote that graffiti on the M57 railway bridge as a piece of brilliant self-publicity. At one point the local council were going to remove it, but local residents actually petitioned to keep it there.
I've a suspicion that the bridge has since been repainted, but so has the graffiti. I'll wager that whoever re-writes it doesn't understand it either.
"The Pies The Pies" is practically a landmark - every time I pass under the bridge on my way back to my parents' house I feel a twinge of nostalgia. As a child the sight of "The Pies The Pies" meant that we were almost home...
