hi anybody know where i could get my bumpers rechromed in lincolnshire
as the new ones in the mags and at the shows dont look like they would last 5 mins.

There was a company in Leicester, on Frog Island from memory, which used to advertise in the classic car mags who did re-chroming. I know it wasn't cheap, but then a proper job often isn't.........

Having experienced some of the poor quality cheaper stainless and repo-chrome parts I agree with your comments, they don't last long...........

I'll try to look up the company and see if they are still about.

Derby Plating.

Very dear, but when you look at the crap which comes out of some places, it definitely worthwhile.

If you can be arsed, I can explain how to do it in your shed. I can also explain how to clean them right up and fill any pitting. You will need a big trough.

It will be better than any you can get, also you can get the surface really etched and it will be super quality.

I have done some very good plating.

Yeah this does sound pretty cool.

I've always ended up just buying really cheap ones for the show season, letting them rust over winter and then replacing them next year, hehe.
