Exporting a Ferrari in the USA

Does anyone have experience of exporting cars to the USA?
I may have found a buyer in the states for a LHD Ferrari which I have.
Does anyone have any advice, pointers or knowledge on the matter. What about import duties/tax/cutoms etc?
Are there ways of avoiding getting stung etc. Bearing in mind I am a private seller, not a comercial business.
Any help much appreciated.

Whilst I know next to nothing about this, I would suggest posting here: www.ferrarichat.com and/or searching the archives there.
It's an American site (A calls B a feckless moron; result = 50 posts, 40 saying A has no right to dis B whom he has never met, 10 posts defending the right of B to call A anything he damn well likes). They don't half know a thing or two about this though(search for 'euro'), the concensus IIRC is that converting a euro car to US spec not worth the effort.
