Ok, so I go to fit the Chimaera alloys I picked up during the week.

Problem is the rears rub on the chassis. I've had to fit two 5mm spacers either side (which makes it 10mm per side) to stop it from rubbing.

Is the car still safe with these spacers? and will my wheels fall off?

Sounds incredibly dangerous to me. If you fit spacers you should always fit longer wheel studs/bolts. 10mm is a lot and means you have 10mm less threads holding the wheels on !!!! sTeVeR

The 16" wheels stick inwards an extra 1/2", this is fine on the S4/V8S but the drum brake versions don't have as much space. Personally I wouldn't recommend using wheel spacers to compensate for the fact those wheels don't fit, I think wheel spacers are a fundamentally bad idea.

I've put the original wheels back on now...

I've found this site that does wheel adapters (see DRM=Wheel Spacer/Adapter about half way down the page)......any good?
