Dont think that one fits the S series. From what I recall its a 90amp thingy strapped on mine.

Hi Ken, I saw it and it looks the same fitting as mine but I have not yet been able to get to my car to see if I can figure out why mines not charging - no light on panel etc etc so the £48 kinda put me off for now...

you had better start looking for that old one you had I think

Hi Ken - sorry I cant pick up mail until mon (tues this week) as the server is down at weekends - work , but good news on the alternator front... I took it for a spin this afternoon and noticed the charge go to high 14v after a short blast, reads high 13v with engine switched off, so I guess my gauge is reading high. still no ignition light so maybe theres a resistor wired in as well to provide the load in case the bulb blows ?

So I took her for a maiden voyage and still have a big grin - brilliant !

thanks for the offer of the alternator, I really appreciate it, and if you were really throwing it out I would still have it as a spare, but I'm glad to say I dont think I need it now.
