Hi,

Well, in about 9hrs and 43mins (approx!) I'm going to be the very proud owner of a basalt black '52 911 Turbo. She is just georgeous, and as I'm trading up from a TVR a very different beast to drive.

I'm really excited (Ask my missus!) - picking up from the Bath area and then we're off to Wales for the weekend. We're supposed to be walking; but I'm going to try and find some driving time!

It doesn't have the sports-exhaust, I'm definatley keen to get one (Coming from a V8 it's a little quiet) - is there anything different with the Turbo in getting the PSE fitted? I'm assuming an aftermarket one will invalidate the Porsche warranty?

Pics after the weekend hopefully!

Congrats...

Not sure they do a PSE for the turbo, after-market only from memory.

Congrats! I said goodbye to my Porsche yesterday, it hurts more than I thought possible. Give it a blast for me and enjoy it fully while you can!

There is no PSE option for the 996TT.

You have to go aftermarket. Tubi are the bobbins, but if you have the OPC warranty it might be invalidated for engine claims.

...that's correct. There is no PSE for the turbo. The only option is after-market (e.g. Tubi) which would invalidate the warranty to a certain extent (depending on the OPC you're dealing with).

Congratulations. You will love it!

I came across a special offer on PSE's on 911UK.com

www.911uk.com/forum/display_topic_threads.asp?ForumID=12&TopicID=10246&PagePosition=1

They may extend this offer to the Turbo. Worth a try?

Good luck.

I saw the same link; but figured no Turbos. Maybe I'll give them a call and try my luck!

Sorry to hijack the thread, has anyone got experience of the Fabspeed Exhaust?
The promotional videos look good, but it would be good for some first hand knowledge.

I had oneon my GT2, plenty of turbo spool but horribly loud!! The whole car used to vibrate so much my fillings fell out!! Kept it on for a couple of weeks then went to a Cargraphic!!

freewheeler,

Thanks, mine's a standard 996 3.4. I know the Fabspeed had some bad press with Turbo cars but wonder if they're OK on N/A. I've serched the forum and was trying to get some up to date info on the 'maxflow muffler' aside from it's rude sounding name.
