I plan on buying a car mainly for the strip but what to drive to and from the events. Is there any dedicated companies for this ?

Try Flint insurance, I doubt very much if you would ever get insurance for the car whilst on the track, but if you can, Flint would be the ones to do it.

Sorry I didnt make myself clear. I understand the it would be difficult to get insured whilst on the track. All I want to do is to insure a highly modded car to drive to and from the strip , say limited to 2k miles max.

I had no joy with any of the specialist companies (Adrian Flux, Flint, Footman James, etc) when trying to get cover for my SBC Capri. I went with A-Plan, who have been very good so far. They're cheap, and friendly, which is more than I can say for most insurers. There's a PH thread about them here:

I already insure my TVR through A-Plan so I wounder if they can do a multi-car policy ?

If they're interested in the business, they'll probably mirror your bonus to make life even better...

If they don't want the business (bearing in mind that A-plan are an intermediary, not a broker so can quite merrily "quote to lose" have a look at the info I posted above..

yeah competition car insurance cover my 900 hp sbc procharged porsche that i drag race for 650 quid fully comp they are a really good company
