Just acquired a 98 996 C2 tip! Now looking to adopt a local indie.
Anyone had any experience of Charles Ivey, they're in Fulham somewhere.

Great forum by the way.
Cheers.

no experience myself of Charles Ivey. seem to price themselves near OPC.

locally there is chelsea carrera and leigh who is next to them. and then there's RGA Vauxhall.

Let's see what the others think of them.

are you willing to go further north (in London)?

Ah! Chelsea Carrera, I remember them now. Are they any good?
I don't mind travelling for the right service, even outside London if necessary.
I actually have a bit of a problem at the mo. Fasteddie1 described the exact same problem in a thread titled "tiptronic glich on 996" back in August. The forum won't let me email him, I think because I haven't been a member for 24hrs yet... although I'm sure I have. I'm dying to know how/if he sorted it out!
I'm looking for a good specialist to have a look at that problem, and I was hoping to get the transmission fluid changed this week to see if that helped.

I would highly recommend Jaz at Wembley. Just had my 996 serviced there. Proper Porsche enthusiasts and very friendly and helpful.

I plan to take my car to Jaz or Leigh for next bit of work, which is likely to be the brakes.

Separate to Chelsea Carrera but they're next to each other. Has a wealth of experience, so I understand. was hoping for others on here to chip in and provide their views. PM me if you want his number

Andy - a mate of mine bought his 911 from Charles Ivey and takes it there to be serviced etc.
He's very happy with them.

Dropped into Chelsea Carrera after my last post.
Seemed like a nice bunch. I've booked in for a transmission fluid and filter change this Friday.
Will report further next week.
They didn't really have any knowledge about sports exhausts though, so I may try another indie to get that sorted pretty soon.
