Had a 997s 'follow' me out of Wakefield this afternoon and he pushed me all the way...not sure if he could have passed, given enough room I guess he could. Think at one stage he got the drop on me gear wise, but all in all not a bad indication that the Griff is where it should be powerwise. Unless he was holding back

Still all that Stuggart power and everyday usability scratchchin

Is a 997S really as quick as a healthy Griff 500 in a straight line?

Blimey.

Mind you, given that the Griff’s “340bhp” is actually usually more like about 290, I shouldn’t be surprised…

More like 260-270 in a standard Griff.... 290 would be particularly healthy. It takes quite a few mods to get a Griff 500 above 300 BHP (I speak from experience!) They're also not quite as light as claimed.

I had an admittedly much healthier than normal 1989 911 3.2 Carrera ... and absolutely no doubt, that was/is as fast as both my Griffs yes
