Full lap INCLUDING the F1 circuit of 7min 15sec driving

Can't remember the F1 time around the F1 circuit but recall approx. 1min 20sec which implies that the Ring time maybe better than Bellof 6min 11sec....

First time in 34 years that a F1 car has been on the Ring...

Wish I was there...

Elsewhere its published that the full lap was actually 8:34 and that that equates to around 7 minutes for the NS alone

And as expected it was apublicity stunt with a camera car and Heidfeld slowing for photo opportunities at varying stages

OK - I spoke with some guys at the Ring. I guess there will be some more official times communicated. Lets see what's true.

BTW - where did you get your information?

It was also announced the car would raised for better ground clearance and was running on Bridgestone "demo" tyres, which are some way off the pace of normal F1 GP tyres.

it would have been nice to see the car in full racing spec running balls out by someone who really knows the track

some of the in car shots show how narrow the track is in places though

^^What he said

8.34 is quick for just cruising though, the VLN circuit record is 8:09 in this: (supposedly equivalent to 6:40 NS)

I was on a balcony at the dorint hotel. i timed the car from the start of the coca cola curve to the entrance back onto the GP track at 6 min 58 secs. I thought it would have been better personally but one hell of a quick lap.

I did wonder how he would go through the Karussell. Answer: he doesn't.
