If I were an RMS leak......

Exactly where would I be leaking from ?? After a spirited drive this morning, my baby seems to have developed a leak just behind the right hand exhaust. Could this be what I think it is ??

I'm pretty sure that RMS leak would be central
between gear box and engine so not very near exhaust?

RMS is exactly dead center and about 1/4 to 1/3 of the length of the car back. Are you sure its oil? Could it either be condensation from exhaust or from your description possibly coolant - make sure the coolant reservoir top is screwed on very tight.

wouldnt coolant be from the left hand side though?

Looks like oil to me, but then I know nought about cars - Now I find the engine's not even even under the bonnet !!

It seems to be coming from a block near the wiggly bit of exhaust on the right hand side. I'll check the coolant levels this morning ( if I can find it !! ) and I'll be phoning Nick at Auto2000 in Bedford tomorrow to get her looked at.

Any more suggestions are always welcome though guys...

rms leak would manifest itself further over to the LHS of your pic in normal circumstances

however thats not to say that the aerodynamics have dragged the oil over to the right. looks more like a leak from a gasget though

if you email the pic to Mike at Sport and Classic i suspect he will be able to diagnose the problem in a jiffy
