944 Tuning

Hi all

Im thinking of starting a project with an early 944 as the basis non turbo 170hp version. Has anyone used one to create a track car?

what modifications can it handle?

I have just such a car that I am thinking of selling.

Built from a car I had known since it was 8 months old (when a friend's father bought it to save waiting for a new one when his was nicked), so I knew it was completely straight. It has since had a strip out, cage, seats, harnesses, plumbed-in extinguisher, full engine re-build, new clutch & Bilsteins, brake bias valve (rears lock up too easily when stripped of weight) etc etc. PM me for more details if it's of interest. They make superb track cars.
