Guys been loking for 6 - 8 months semi serious, Ive found almost perfect car, I now must have it.
Questions if you can help.
1. Car has porsche warranty left (6 - 8 months ) I believe. Its a private sale can I get it transferred to my name?
2. Car is low mileage, how often should it have been serviced ie every year minimum or 2 years OK?

You can transfer the warrranty. It just needs the seller to sign it over.

Agreed on warranty. I'd like to see a service every year on a TT, what year is it? Did you come across any other good ones in your search, mines just starting.

The car should have been serviced in accordance with the Porsche Servicing schedule which changed to every 2 years (or a certain amount of mileage) on the 04 model year cars. As long as it has (it must have been to be approved warranty) you should be fine. Of course, if someone has decided to service it more frequently that is also fine.

Good luck with your purchase!

Gurantee and maintanance book recommends once a year if driven less than 9000 miles (15000 km)/year. If more, then to perform the next scheduled one.

Scheduled maintance with oil filter change must be performed in accordance with the milage after two years at the latest unless it was carried out during the major maintanance service.

Minor service at 12000/36000/60000/84000 miles
Major service at 24000/48000/72000/96000 miles
