Alarm details ???

Can anyone identify the alarm in the last photo on myphotoalbum and give me some advice... i can see its a clifford, there is a siren in the engine bay (in pretty poor condition) the contacts for the bonnet and the doors are all disconnected, the keyfob has a remote which had a flat battery which I have replaced and a key on it (for which I have not found the keyswitch to alarm/disarm ) so the system has never been working in my ownership.

Now, can I cut the siren cables and disconnect the connector block in the photo without risk of an immobiliser doing its thing ?

I want to get the car running after the refurb, and will take it to have a new alarm soon after but I dont want to be confuddled by an old alarm doing something I dont expect...

is the old alarm repairable do you think ?

i have the full wiring diagram @ work for the clifford novell alarm.i will e mail you them tomorrow

this alarm has no immobiliser built in but it id does have a negative output. somewhare the will bee a 30amp relay that has an ignition feed to one side of the relay coil and the neg side will go to the alarm. either bypass the relay or put a permanent earth to the relay this should start the car.

I remember seeing a relay next to the alarm boxes pictured. so I will see if I can follow your advice and get around it if necessary.

my plan is to make do and get the car started first and then go to an expert to have the alarm replaced or fixed.
