Going to be in the Middle East on business next week including a day off in Bahrain. Thought I'd see if I can check out RUF's new Bahrain showroom - never seen a 'proper' RUF in real life.

Not much info on their website yet so does anyone know if its open yet? Is it just a sales office or full showroom with fully built cars I could drool over..? Didn't they launch the CTR3 there - any idea whether the car is still there? Any other good info?

What do you reckon my chances are of blagging a test drive in an RT12 whilst I'm there...

Cheers for any info.

I believe it is not 100% operational, but the best bet is if you head for the GP track, the Ruf factory is literally just outside it.

The GP is only 20/25mins from the the city centre...

Sadly the RUF facility in Bahrain is a way off completion yet! I was there a month or so back and there was still a long way to go....

Where are you going in the middle east? Will you be coming to Dubai? GT Purely Porsche have just been over to shoot a load of cars for some forthcoming mags.

RS - I do quite a bit of business in the Middle East and go there fairly regularly. This time it'll be Qatar -> Bahrain -> Saudi -> Bahrain -> Dubai.

Anything going on in Dubai on Friday?
