Decided at the weekend to have a good hoover/clean out of the rads - any tips for removing the 3 grills (either side & underneath the numberplate) ?

They look pretty well fixed on (typical german build quality, if it was a TVR a small kick would probably get them off!) and dont want to break any clips or anything.

OPC's remove the front bumper to do this but don't want to go that far.

Anyone done this ?

R.

Try inserting a hosepipe into the apetures and hose the debris out for half and hour. I did this and got out about three quarters of a ton of landfill, including german sweet wrappers (WTF!) and four lolly sticks!!!

yikes

I wouldnt have thought the front bumper was too difficult to take off/put back

You can't remove the grills without first removing the bumper they clip to the inside of it - if that makes sense!
However removing the bumper really isn't very hard (30 mins or so) there's about 10 torx screws in the bottom and 5 or 6 phillips screws in the top, the only difficult/fidly ones are in the wheel wells

There you go, much better than taking of the grills
