fly to NYC. Have brilliant weekend with other half. Bring back PCCB's in hand luggage. Smear with a bit of grime and say they are used parts (it reduces any import duties VAT etc).
Better still, just mail them back to yourself in the UK!! Mark them as a gift with value less than $50 - no import duty or VAT.
Drink cold beer with the savings.
I am going to NYV in June, if you haven't done it by then let me know!!!

To be fair with the $US at its long time low its never going to look good. I wouldnt expect pricing to move quickley to respond to changes in FX rates. At a longer term FX rate of $1.6 = £1 this is a whole lot better only $65 difference (is the US price including sales tax which isnt far off the VAT rate in any case)

Sales tax varies state to state here in Texas it is 8.25% and 6.25% for vehicles
And if you live in one state and buy online or over the phone from a company in another state you don't have to pay sales tax
This rule only applies to goods and not vehicles, if you buy a vehicle out of state you pay the state tax where you register it.

I'm talking Delaware where I used to live zero percent sales tax.

THe GT3 are cheaper, but I think they have some anti-smog stuff and weird bumber things - and they're LHD...
And they have all got the wrong seats too (unless expesively retrofitted)...
US GT3s were never offered from the factory with buckets for some kind of import/type approval reason

true but its not been close to there for 4 years...
past 4 years its been around 1.8, mostly above.
before that general accepted rate was about 1.55 but obviously fluctuated.
it will take alot to get it back down to 1.6 its been 1.9 + for ages now, like over 12 months.

Whats to stop you buying in the states and shipping over? Anybody know a cooperative dealer in Delaware or wherever?
Shipping costs and customs charges. By the time the goods arrive here they could actually cost more than those supplied by Porsce GB. We import product from a distributor in New York. Cost of shipping, insurance and customs charges virtually doubles our buying price. Probably explains why products from USA are often same number xxx$ as xxx£.
