Logically, OR means one thing, the other thing or both things together.
It's only the english language that insists on confusing the issue...

So is the answer to 6 or 8 actually 6 AND 8?

I've seen a W plate Crystal Topaz tuscan on a local forecourt. I'm going to at least have a look at it... Would I miss my rally rep more or less than I would enjoy a Tuscan?

There are two ORs logically speaking. An inclusive OR which is as you say; one OR the other OR both. Then we have the exclusive OR (XOR) which is strictly one OR the other. nerd

6 OR 8 = 14
6 AND 8 = 0

Hope that helps

So if I have a Tuscan OR a Griff then I have a choice of 14 cylinders.
But if I have both, presumably they will conspire to always be broken, so I have none?

The solution is to connect each ecu to a mutually out of phase square wave oscillator. If you use a PLL for both you should increase reliability. This will gurantee operation of one, and only one, car at a time. You can only drive one car at a time and as a bonus can be assured that your wife will not be able to drive the other car at the same time.

dnb - please note that in respect of TVRs, Murphys Law states that "if you have a complete and fully functioning spare, the original will never break".

I think its related to the sibling concept of "if you dont need one they are readily available and cheap but if you do then......." banghead

Following that logic, you will have 14 cylinders at your disposal at all times. thumbup

Ignoring the logic part of this thread (never paid any attension to that during Uni sleep ) and ingoring the fact that I believe Norbert isn't yours it's Norbert500's

Would a tuscan really give you enough to tinker with? would you want to put a new ECU and play with it like you seem to have with all your other cars??

Forgetting all that buying TVRs is not logical so just go for it, if it does it for you. thumbup

Fair point on the ownership.

I haven't played much with the current Impreza - I bought it already done. And I have a number of projects on the back burner screaming for me to start them.
