They get their share of abuse so only fair to post if an OPC actually get it right for a change.... In this case OPC East London.

Based on my previous experience been waiting for something to go wrong at some point but have to admit to being very impressed.

Got a text on Sunday night confirming the pick up time from my office - nice touch. Guy turned up exactly on time (7.45am on Monday) with all required paperwork and dropped off a shiny courtesy Boxster S.

Just got a call from their service department taking payment over the phone saying the car is all finished and asking where/when I would like it delivered (my house in West London at 7pm? - no problem). Was originally told Wed so this is 24hours early.

Work carried out:

- Full 20k service
- Switchable PSE fitted (can't wait...!!)
- Full alignment check
- Handbrake linkage fixed (was loose) under warranty
- Remote locking problem fixed under warranty
- Couple of key code settings changed
- Front wipers replaced and a missing bolt cover both replaced as a 'freebie'
- Apparently cleaned inside/outside and looking like new

Nothing about brake discs/pads or any other nonsense. Price was exactly as quoted (won't post it but I was fairly amazed... still doing the special deal on PSEs).

Can't bloody wait to get home tonight - baby is fully serviced, aligned and with a PSE...

Great job OPC East London thumbup

I've always had great service from OPC Silverstone, which I've posted about in the past.

Good on you for saying when you're happy. Too often these forums are full of the grumbles.

I`ve always got on well with Porsche Cardiff - we have had a few niggles in the past but on the whole they have been really good of late.

Now if they could just stop changing the sales staff every week ...scratchchin

went to OPC Silverstone for 111-point inspection. Great service from Stephen (ta muchly), car went through with no problems and got a call Monday am to confirm the warranty was in place (admin delay being the weekend).

the usual comment about OPCs in this situation (ie getting a warranty) is about some non warranty item needing repair e.g. the brake discs and pads needing replacement. so happily surprised when all I was told was keep an eye on the pad indicator as they'll need replacing soon!

Excellent!

Ordered a small part from Porche Cardiff over the phone, called in to see if had arrived the next day, receptionist asked if we'd like a coffee (probably worth as much as the part) while she went to get someone from the stores dept.. Part hadn't come in but received phone call next day saying it had arrived and would be posted f.o.c. to save me going back. Can't be faulted....but I now have an unopened tube of KY if anyone's interested laugh

Erik - just out of interest, did you originally buy the car new from East London OPC?
Also, did you have to drop the car off yourself from West London or did they come and get it as well?

Does your OPC allow you to supply the KY then? I thought this was normally a chargable extra

Maksing - never had any dealings with East London before. Bought both my 997s from Mayfair (great for sales) and previously used Chiswick (close to my house). Had issues with Chiswick so thought I'd try East London. Good job.

They were willing to collect (and drop off courtesy) and return to any address in London.

That is excellent service and information.

I'm in West London too and have gone to Colchester, Essex to get good service (which I do not regret doing at all BTW). But now I could try East London next time I need to on your recommendation.

Thanks.

Got my MOT and 20,000 mile service (pants duely dropped!) due from West London OPC. After experiencing their ahem 'service' over the last 6 years I am tempetd to deal with East London OPC. Any downsides that anyone can foresee?

Yep - first service. Actual mileage on the car is 18.5k but its been driven fairly hard recently so had it done slightly early.

That's so good to hear Erik. I guess that would have been the first oil change too?
I'll definitely book mine in with East London. I'm some way off the 20K but if the weather stays like this I'll be clocking up the miles.

Second oil change. I use my car as a daily commuter (25-30mins through London every day) and a couple of track days so thought it wise to get an oil change in between. Had an indy do it at 12k miles (was quite dirty) - aim to change it every 7k miles or so.

Yeah, you will need to find something to spend the money you will save on
