seat repairs

I need to get my drivers seat repaired. The passenger seat is in really good condition but the drivers one has splits in it. Can anyone suggest where I can get it repaired. Ideally local to kent. Thanks.

I've just had the drivers seat on mine re-done in new leather on the bolster panels for the seat and back - £100 - which I thought was very fair. Local bloke, bit of a one man band, so can be hard to get hold of but...a good job.
In fact he's doing a gearstick gaiter and handbrake cover for me now!

At that price I could be very tempted to get both mine done, although I have a feeling that the internals of the seats have collapsed so possibly not worth re-covering until that is sorted.

Are the seats in the S1 leather or ambla?

Are there any other seats that will fit in the S. I would like to replace mine but not sure if the seats from a Chim would fit.

I've had this suggested to me as an alternative to fixing and re-covering mine and am told it would work.

I have the seat base foam new in stock (well that's not quite true..I have the seat foams made for the M series 1974-1980 but this is the same as the Tasmin 280 through to 390 and S series up until the the S2 BUT not the S3) Adrian@

Doh, I presume then they won't be right for a V8S either if no good for the S3?

BUT... they should be available ex-stock from TVR Power, The ones I've had made were obsolete.

I reckon this is the way forward, in my case at least, as the seats (well the drivers certainly) needs rebuilding and re-covering which would likely cost more than getting seats from a scrappy.
