Oh great.

So I pay $8.00 for the electronic version, and then AFTER THEY'VE TAKEN THE MONEY the site tells me that to read the f g thing I have to download and install some piece of reader software. Which obviously I'm not happy to do.

Thanks a lot.

Why the f k doesn't it send you a pdf, and more importantly why doesn't it tell you BEFORE it takes the money.

shoutPHIL - NOT HAPPY!

They have to get some form of copy protection on it.... otherwise one person would buy it and just post it up somewhere???

Seems reasonable to me?

100%. But it should tell you BEFORE you cough the (actually) $10 that you can't read it without installing some schonky bit of software.

Balls, you live and learn. I've ordered a paper one as well.

Hi, sorry this wasn't clear - I'll see what can do to get that changed. Bear in mind, though, that the software is free and easy to use.

Cheers

Lollers hehe

I thought I'd buy it electronically as I am stuck far afield.

All was fine until after I'd handed over me AMEX details, when it said I needed to download and install their reader. Which I can't do, because it's a work PC which is locked.

It would have been nice to know that I needed to install Zaino's code. I was expecting to get a pdf mailed to me.

No big deal, just annoying - and not T911's fault either. You should give Zaino a b0llocking though.

Thanks for the headsup. I haven't actually tried to subscribe myself, but I have installed the reader etc. Never thought it may be a problem on company PCs.

We'll have a chat and see if there is a work-around.

I owe you $10 of beer!

You could always send me the paper version I've just ordered for nowt.

hehe

The problem is that company PCs are locked to prevent installation of any non approved programs. Problem therefore is not with you but more general.

You should kick Zaino up the ar5e though, because finding out you have to use their reader after you've paid is a liberty. IMAGINE if I'd bought a subscription for $100 +

yikes

Had it sent to me home address for when I get back.

No big deal, but not (as my colleagues in marketing would say) a "pleasing customer experience...."

hehe

* the OPC charge more if they supply the KY. I got some cheaper at Costco.....

I'll draw a line under this. On the grounds I may get banned.
