Galant VR4 - opinions? Information?

Does anyone have any information, links, comments, etc. on the Mitsubishi Galant VR4?

I wouldn't mind knowing how many official UK cars there were and roughly how many greys came into the country (100's? 1000's?). What options were available? How many had leather? Were any manuals (as all I've seen for sale are autos)?

Don't know much about them, but heard they're pretty heavy on the fuel consumption (don't know whether or not that's an issue to you)

One of the magazines I bought a year or two ago ran one. All I remember was it suffered huge depreciation (50% in just over a year), so buy a used one.

I really fancied a new one a couple of years ago, but bought a Merc C43 instead. I am glad I did as an acquaintance bought a new one around the same time, went to trade it in after a year and 9k mls, to be offered £11.5k less than he paid. Gives depreciation a new meaning !! I guess that secondhand, and at the right price it would make a damn fine car.
