Is the turbo worth the extra £ 20k more than the C4S.

Off to local dealer on Saturday after falling out with Audi over R8 order and think 997 is probably a better option anyway.

i would say yes - and better residuals perhaps as the newer model. BUT , im not sure on the waiting list situation.

However good chance of finding something nearly new for around list

If you're talking 997TT over a 997C4S then no contest for 20k turbo all the way.

Definitely worth it.

997 S with power kit is a different matter though. scratchchin

Had the same choice too - just can't live with the Turbo's looks so went for the purer (in my opinion) 997 C4S. Pick it up on Tuesday.

Have been what I consider a reasonable customer of Audi over the last few years having had a Q7 / RS4 / TT and a few others. Ordered the R8 some 4 years ago and was told up until 2 weeks ago that the car would be a July delivery as expected. Some bright spark has now decided that this is now Christmas for delivery and neither the dealer or Audi themselves can give me an explanation apart from that is how the orders have worked out despite numerous phone calls which are never returned.Good service for a £90k car - well done Audi !!!!

I have therefore decided that if they cannot be bothered with me then the reverse should apply. Have always had a good relationship with local Porsche centre and decided to drive c4s and turbo and think this is now the better option over R8.

Had a similar issue with my R8 order - was orginally it would be one of the first cars in July, but now looking at October / November.

I'm sticking with my 997 C4S (which is fantastic!) and maybe consider the R10 in a year or so......

Turbo.... no contest

The first R8's will probably have teething problems anyway ... like the TT did.

sounds like some 'corporate customer' queue jumping to me. I just don't see why they just can't give everyone an order number and associated date and have this on display at the dealership or on their website. It would be anonymous but you'd get a good idea when you are first on the list and then see 5 R8's at the dealership and told none are yours whether any funny games are being played.
