D50 wide angle lens advice
Discussion
Sorry all, yet another Dopey Dibble D50 Dilemma...
I'm after a wide(ish) angle lens that's compatible with my D50.
What would the great and good of PH P&V recommend (it's coming from HK, so I can afford to spend a bit more than I would here)?
I guess top end of the (HK) budget would be about £200ish.
TIA.

wide? or wideish?
For wide-ish I can thoroughly recommend the sigma 17-70. I paid slightly over £200 about a month ago at Jessops, so should be within your budget from HK. Alternatively there is the Nikon 18-70..
Having typed this, I realise this probably isn't the sort of rage you had in mind
I've read a lot of good things about the sigma 10-20, which is pretty much as wide as you can get for crop sensors. I want one for my D50. It'd be a close-call budget-wise though...

It'd be a close-call budget-wise though...I already have the AF-S DX 18 - 55 mm F3.5 - F5.6G ED (27 - 82.5 mm equiv. FOV, 3x zoom) and AF-S DX 55 - 200 mm F4.0 - F5.6G ED (82.5 - 300 mm equiv. FOV, 3.6x zoom) kit lenses, so I'm thinking wideer than the 18-55 if possible.
So something like the Sigma 10-20 would be about right I guess.
