3.2 Carrera Brakes

Im having some trouble with my brakes on a 3.2 Carrera 911. Ive fitted a new brake master cylinder and have bleed the brakes using the correct method but my pedal still doesn't want to come back up to it start position easily and the brakes only go on once the pedal is all the way down. What am i doing wrong ?

Is the cap vented, or off when this happens?

No the cap is back on. But there is the vent hole on the top right hand side of the brake resovoir still open.

It sounds like there's some kind of obstruction causing a sort of valve effect.
Are you sure there are no plastic seals, or caps that haven't been removed, or you've not noticed during installation ?
When you're bleeding the system, can you feel the fluid on the pedal pushing through ?
