adapter plates

hi there any1 here know how to make there own gearbox adapter plates by any chance i want to have ago my self but dont know how to do so any help would be grateful many thanks dean

Dean, I don't wish to sound negative and I suspect that 8 out of 10 of us have all considered similar but it really is not worth the ball ache. Just buy one.

To do your own you would need the exact dimensions for both the gearbox and engine. There can be no guesswork here or drawing round it onto a piece of cardboard. The gearbox input shaft has got to be perfectly aligned with the crank shaft or untold damage will be done, instantly or over time.
If you had the facilities to take all the dimensions then I doubt you would be asking the question here or on the other forums.

You don't say what the engine and box are.

what combination do you need to adapt? if its a chevy to porsche its cheaper to buy off the shelf unless you have the maching tools.

I agree it's not worth it, on this part.
Try contacting boosted ls1, or jschwartz, they maybe able to point you in the right direction.
