Just how heavy is a Mini !!!!!
Discussion
Got myself some nice new discs and pads, so this morning is perfect for doing a little bit maintenance.
First task, Wheel nuts slackened, no probs. Jack it up and take wheel off - hmmm, there's no jack. No problem, I've got a scissor jack from an old car lying around. I've managed to get the weight off the suspension, but can I hell get the weight off the tyre to remove the wheel.
Took the jack back out, thinking it's a jack problem, but it's working fine. Looks like i'll have to attack it with a hydaulic jack from the Lincoln. I can't believe I'm having to use a truck jack to lift a Mini.
I just hope the discs come off easier than this.

minis kerb weight is about 1150kg i think well my cooper is anyway not sure i think an s is a bit heavier (not much thow) because of the supercharger
but as to the lack of jack its beacuse the battery is in the boot on the S (were the battery is in your S in my cooper there is a tool compartment with jack, tyre gunk, spanners, and and air pump) its why all cooper s's come with runflats out the factory as standard
