the price was good but the wait was a joke

Ditto.
Know what, I noticed the difference immediately. The bike turns itself into corners.Only riden about 2 miles on them, but a great feel so far.

I was first in the queue this morning there, having turned up at 07:25 to make sure.

Also got a pair of 2CTs which seem brill so far.

Their main bike-tyre fitter Trevor is on hols, and the guy doing bike tyres today wasn't amused. Seems they cocked up on the staffing, and I think they would normally be better than this, but I agree it's best to go during the week.

I've been getting tyres there for a couple of years and generally you do have to spend about an hour, from arrival to departure. Three hours is crazy though - I'd have left and just paid extra elsewhere, but then I hate waiting around for things!

I signed up for their premier service, just have to phone up, make an appointment, then turn up and job done straight away.

It's a free service.

Went to try and get a new rear for my bike only to find out they no longer do bikes.
They will still do a bike wheel if you bring it in but not if it is on the bike, nearest suggested alternative was Portsmouth.

Bother.

...but useful info for those of us who have used MDT in the past.

Guildford Tyre Company in Chilworth (!) is a good alternative for those in the West Surrey, North Hants, West Sussex areas.

Didn't realise they stopped doing bike ride in's.

A few people I know have used Roadwheel in Fleet. Another place not too far from me is Just Motorcycles in B'stoke but whenever I've called the latter lead time has always been at least a week or two away.

Oh and if anyone is forgetful, a bit like me this year, in doing an MOT then try APJ MOT's nr Church Crookham. Called in the morning and a few hours later all done.

If you’re local to Andover try TRS tyres, Trevor is a motorcyclist, lots of the local boys use him.

In the Reading area I've used GS Motorcycle Tyres - https://gsmotorcycletyres.co.uk/

Also this company Ride In Bike Tyres - http://www.rideinbiketyres.co.uk/

I've never found anywhere cheaper than Ride in Bike Tyres in Reading. I'll only go elsewhere if he can't source them. He's also incredibly helpful/friendly which some others lack.

GS is significantly more expensive - genuinely shocked at the price I was quoted by them last time.

GTC in Guildford is good but I only use them when they have deals on (one of the very few who do the 2 for 1 on latest gen Dunlops when the deal is running) as I like to give Ride in the business if at all possible.
