i keep seeing 964's kicking about for decent money and as its my fave ever porsche, i have to say im starting to get tempted. however, i cant stretch to an rs or owt right now, so itd just be a '2. so then, is this going to feel like an ancient, slow and cumbersome and hector to drive? or will it be spritely and a bit of a handful? the latter is obviously preferable.

the closest one is 150 miles away so i thought id ask here before setting off.

thanks in advance.

They certainly not slow. An old boss of mine had a C4 targa and that used to pull like a train (and it used to go well too)

I guess everything is relative after warp speed gt3 and a mad bear but it will be a car for all cheeses

ps glad you're still enjoying. ive got a diesel fiesta for the week grumpy

No. The steering will take some getting used to, and the pedals are floor hinged and relatively heavy, so your initial impressions may not be 100% positive. But what I can tell you is that once you've gotten used to the 964s control weightings, most other cars will feel over-light and over-servoed in comparison, and the 964 will feel to you as though it's how every car should be. IMO, naturally. The steering in particular once on the go, is bleedin' brilliant. As for outright go, it's more than enough to be going on with, and there are certain things that can be done by certain people to up the ante. Ninemeister do a bit of (from what I hear) worthwhile custom mapping and arsing around with the junk in the trunk.

When did you grow a beard then? Beyond a bit of windswept and interesting stubble, your facial hair was fairly minimal when I saw you last.

A woman Al-Quaeda terrorist was today found dead in her bathroom. Police believe she got her semtex mixed up with her tampax and blew up the wrong cu*t.

I believe those two things might be mutually inclusive. As for the 964 - YOU find one. That's what you're paid for.
