Nice piccies Martin. Nice to see you today and your son. Nice chap, hope he enjoyed the pax.
J, the heater cable popped off leaving me on full heat so I borrowed the Caterams lift and got into the tunnel to fix it. Very proud of myself!
Nasty drumming, grinding noise from the n/s rear when loaded up on fast right handers though. Bit worried about what it is. Sounds and feels like going over rumble strips/ curbs.
Last pic is ace.

Sounds like it may be a wheel bearing. Should have asked me at the time as I could probably have diagnosed the noise having had to do one on the RS recently which foxed multiple mechanics.
Great photos Martin, although that is Fi piloting the RS. I have blue decals on my helmet (oo-er) and Fi has that touring car style Arai.
Greg, thanks for the escort to the petrol station. I got 58.6l into the tank. Its a 60l tank. That was running it a little close for comfort!

Just test driven an Exige S at Bell and Colville in Surrey. Nice and nimble, good fun on the twisties, but getting back in my Roush 380 Noble and taking it along the same test route really highlighted just how fast and capable these machines are.
I was also checking out a GT3 RS at Romans (went to see the veyron) and although lovely, at £65k for the cheapest one and £50k for a non-RS I have decided that I love my Noble and am going to sort the brakes and get it looking spiffing again and keep her.
I love having the old "what car" dilema, its a great passtime.

OK OK I'm madly jealous that you guys were out there, but I am a good Catholic boy so Good Friday remains a Holy day.
Just got some pics from a Donington session a couple of weeks ago. Difficult to imagine that 1 hour after these pis were taken it was blowing a blizzard!
Check out light under near-side rear coming rather quickly through Old Hairpin...
Sorry about the Bedford thread highjack, but they do bring a smile back to my face!
Glad you all had a great day and finished with no damage done.
Hope to see you soon at a 'proper' circuit sometime..

Its just a shame you didn't get another photo a bit later when I was on full lock.

Lol don't feel inadequate just because there is a picture of an RS with more lock just above
Martin any chance of some hires copies please?
Will get on to editing the video down when I can be arsed. Two hours footage

I must give Dan some credit for the most impressive piece of tank slapper control I have ever witnessed from the passenger seat! We were in full slide for about 3 minutes round one hairpin!

tankslapper? You cheeky bugger!
I have footage of me driving the car smoothly but don't tend to do it with passengers as sliding is more fun, but now you all assume I overdrive the whole time
I've got one of the tapes onto the computer now, but sadly it is as expected, the rear view mirror really obscures the view up the track, and most every time the car starts sliding the video breaks up
Think maybe moving the mount position and setting it up to perhaps have more flex in it might dampen the movements of the car a bit more and maybe stop so much break up. Edited by DanH on Sunday 8th April 01:12
