First road hoon in my new car!!!
Discussion
So, I was slaving away in front of a hot PC this afternoon & decided sod this, life's too short & took my new Box S out for my first proper hoon in the sun in it.....
Having had the car for 2 weeks or so & spent most of that time plodding round the M25, I have not really had a chance to see how it really goes. So roof down, stereo off, phone off I took off into the lanes of North Hants and gubber me it is incredible (I know it is not a GT2 / TT / GT3 so don't flame me!!)
Having had Northway Porsche do a full service on it yesterday, it has been tranformed.... Took it fairly steady for the first 10 miles or so, I then started pushing a little harder through lots of tight 2nd / 3rd gear corners opening on to long straights and was, quite frankly, staggered by the grip, pick up, brakes (everything really). Eventually, I found myself looking at the speedo only to be doing
ish down a looong straight with fields on either side - I was just staggered at the cars poise over pretty bouncy roads.
I am now absolutely gobsmacked with the car (before I thought it looked kind of cool, but didn't really have a true appreciation for the overall package) and if anyone can tell me where a track day virgin can go to enjoy the car safely without getting in the way of all you pro's, I'll definitely be there!!!!

Is it a 986 or 987?
I'd go for an airfield trackday on your first outing.
Enjoy!!! The good weather is coming.

986 - couldn't stretch to a 987.
Any ideas of airfield tracks in the South?
Go to Bedford Autodrome
www.bedfordautodrome.com/
Loads of run-off, only one armco on the main straight - so basically very little to hit.
