S Club Heaven Questions

Hello,
I'm hoping to make it to coventry to check out the S' and just wanted to clarify the following:
1) Will the S' actually be in the museum? This may seem like an odd question, but, my logic is that if they are outside (i.e. no paying to get in
) then I could make a flying visit to speak to some owners and club member etc... On the other hand if they are inside then I should bring the family and make it a day out 
.
2) Is anyone attending form the Oxford or Bristol TVRCC's? as a Swindoner I'm thinking these are my local clubs and it would be nice to find out what the other members are like.
3) Will there be an opportunity to sit in some S' as a 6 foot five individual I'm interested to see if; (a) I can fit and (b) if the S1/S2 or S3/S4 dashboard makes a difference. Are any other tall owners attending, I would be interested in your experiences?

Hi Ralph, the S Event will be held on a piece of land outside but on the same site as the museum so you will not need museum entry to see all the fine cars. Musuem entry is free in any case so if you're family is interested bring them along. If you're thinking of buying an S, the event is a good plce to see many in one place. You will be surprised at how different they all are and you will find all the owners friendly, chatty people who would be willing to talk to you about their cars, let you sit in them and possibly drive them, there may even be some for sale at the event.

Yes, I hope to be there.
I'm about 6'3" and don't have a problem getting in or out of my S2. Having said that, it is much easier with the roof off. The S3/S4/V8S all have slightly longer doors, which should improve access. People will argue that you are better off getting a more recent car in any case, but I prefer the S2 interior.

I don't think you'll have any problems fitting if you're 6', A friend of mine who's 6'5" managed to get in the passenger side of my S2 without too much of an issue - although I did laugh at him folding his legs up round the door post! My grandfather (who is in his late 80's) can also manage to get in without too many problems! (He's probably nearer 5'8" however)
The nearest TVRCC region to you is probably Wiltshire. The March meet was actually in Swindon. Venues vary from month to month but all are (surprisingly) in Wiltshire or very close. Have a look at the TVRCC website for RO details etc. There are several S owners who attend. - I'm probably the most frequent, but there are others...

I think the event sounds like just the kind of forum I need to find out about the cars. I have sat in a Chim before and the problem was not getting in and out - that was fine. The trouble was the clearance for my left leg between the steering wheel and transmission tunnel.
I did n't realise the wilts TVRcc moved venues each month, so thanks for that info - I'II probably try and make it down later in the year when finances are better and the S purchase is immenient.
