Braided hoses on GT3?
Discussion
Having steels put on my 996GT3 in replacement of the PCCBs which are currently on the car. The current set-up gave a very soft pedal this weekend at Bedford. Parr is doing the work.
I understand all 996GT3 variants come as standard with rubber brake hoses. Do those that track their cars regularly upgrade to braided ones, or is changing the brake fluids sufficient to firm up the pedal? My experience of putting braised hoses on my 968CS some while back was that, whilst effective, it removed all feel from the brake pedal.

The braided hoses will tend to remove some of the "give" that maybe present in the factory fit rubber hoses.
Several people I've spoken to have said that unless the rubber hoses are old they should allow minimal expansion anyway, and thus the benefits of braided hoses aren't as great as some would have you believe...........
The major advantage of the braided items is their resistance to impact damage from debris or stones when compared with rubber hoses. But I'm sure their fitment would also make the pedal feel harder.
If your brake pedal feels that soft, I'd be looking to bleed the complete system and refill using Ate Blue or Castrol SRF (I'd go for the latter persaonally)

Not needed on a GT3. Just replace your fluid with a competition alternative.
