My opinion is not worth much as I don't have much 911 experience, but it looks like a perfect spec and a good deal if you've got the seller to sort out the 111 & opc wty. Only concern would be making sure its not been bent at any time (see the midnight blue gt2 thread!) and think about how much opc cover you've got left (5 years old, so 9-5 = 4 years worry free motoring with opc wty - is that long enough? - suspect yes, but this is something I'd want to make as long as possible if spending £50+k).

Price wise I have no idea whether £53k is OK today - if I were you I'd find out what an OPC would actually offer as a trade price today, and use that as a guide (private seller will want a bit more, dealer a fair bit more to cover his costs/sale of goods act liabilities). Be careful not to waste OPC time pretending to sell a fictional car, but if you intend to service the car at your local OPC, you should be able to strike up some relationship with them that'll give you the info you need. I'd be very interested to find out what you find out.

[quote=30121980]Its a private sale. Cn get it for 53,000 with him paying for 111 point inspection and 1 years opc warranty. car was serviced, major one only a few hundred miles ago[quote]

Its very good that he is paying for the 111-point inspection and for the warranty.

I'd say that's a fair price. Bear in mind that the 24k mile service is a beast - so I'd get him to throw that in (if it hasn't already been done) for the price (as well as the OPC warranty). It would be nice if it was post '02 facelift aswell (PCM2 etc.) - determined by whether there it has a passenger glovebox (post facelift) or not (pre facelift).

Enjoy!

If its the one in the ebay link, then it is indeed post facelift with the added glovebox.

24K service is not the beast. I suspect you mean the 4 year/48k service. Its around £1200.

Cridfords have a 03 midnight blue car at 52k with 16k miles / no PCM. Turbocentre a silver car 02 with PCM and rear parking sensors at 50K. Both of the above have been around for months. Whilst the PCM may be crap against a modern aftermarket NAV it affects value, the above black car does not have it. The black car is 42/45k in the trade, depending on who's bidding. 47k would be an excellent shout as a private sale.

If we ignore the fact its an X50, (NOT silver), just serviced etc, you may have a point. I have not seen a car with that spec/miles etc for £47k. Have you ? confused

Chillerman - what colour is your car shown on your profile?? - looks classy.

To quote again, I am after a black car, theres only a few out there at present:-

This black 2002-02 x50 from ebay

Riche has a lovely pure 2001-y with 12,000 miles on it. Have`nt seen this car in the flesh but have been told its mint. They have it up for about 51,000 but IMHO its worth aboout 48,500.
Then theres that black 2002 x50 at the indy volvo dealer. He`s holding out for OPC money on this one - i have been to see this one and its needs work done. He wont pay for any of it or drop his price of 56,995. I offered him 55,000 as it was after it was 111 point checked, but he didnt take it.

Gooing to trawl the autotrader now and see if theres any new ads out there. Life is boring being car less and our lass is at work !!!!

Lapis Blue....

Black/Black is prob one of the hardest combinations to get at a good price, let alone finding them, if you can stomach '03> money, Atlas grey is probably my favourite colour of all... Take a look a 'camerons' (google it)

I was going to bid on Winchester cars 2004/04 turbo, but its due a service and they wanted me to pay for it. Last service was mid 2006

aren`t 2004 cars serviced every 2 years? so if it was serviced 2006 it won`t need another until 2008
