It may be accurate, it may be like playing darts blindfolded, however, my random estimates for next weekend:

Based on traditional Thunderball weather, typical English, cold, mild breeze, some dampness etc.

Pro Fuel (divided into Top Fuel and Funny Car)
Top Fuel - 4.727/312.72mph
Funny Car - 5.293/268.27mph

Pro Mod - 6.201/227.12mph

Top Methanol - 5.492/252.67mph

NFAA - 6.691/212.16mph

Super Mod - 7.689/177.36mph

Street Eliminator - 7.85/187.08mph

Top Fuel Bike - 6.584/203.44mph

Funny Bike - 6.943/190.73mph

Super Street Bike - 7.746/186.46mph

Not sure if I missed a couple of heads up classes in that.

My predicitions:

Top Fuel - 4.92/297mph
Funny Car - 5.43/252mph

Pro Mod - 6.321/223mph

Top Methanol - 5.37/262mph

NFAA - 7.03/201mph

Super Mod - 7.58/182mph

Street Eliminator - 8.05/189mph

Top Fuel Bike - 6.71/211mph

Funny Bike - 6.88/198.73mph

Super Street Bike - 7.69/191mph

Reasons for ET's in Street Eliminator is the weather/cold track and the like and people adapating to the new tyres BFG over MT's for example.

As for a 4.72 Besty i would love to see it!

Mmmmmm.... Always difficult to guess. As for Jon's 4.72 - Oh I would dearly love that - but I don't think it's going to happen. (Would be delighted to come back to eat humble pie if it did!)

Seriously, I'm going to have the following stabs...

Don't know about the rest but the Street Eliminator et's are going to be closely watched this season. With several racers changing to (or back to in my case) the BFG drag radial, which are the only non block treaded tyre allowed in the rules and which are as legitimate as any other allowed tyre within the class - it will be an interesting season opener.

Will anyone break into the 7's on such an early and relatively newly laid track? I don't think so.

I have to agrEe.This early in the seaSon , on a green track, I beliEve a lot of the times posted are very optimistic.

Having said that, pro crew chiefs are indeed the 7th wonder of the world.

Best of luck to all involved, and just remember, you dont HAVE to break it first time out.

Hm... Easter should be interesting. Gonna be good though

Top Fuel - 4.80@312

Funny Car - 5.15@280

Pro Mod - 6.28@228

Top Methanol - 5.50@252 for dragsters, i reckon fagerstrom will run a 5.70 in his funny car.

NFAA - 6.60 @ 215mph

Im looking forward to Easter, it's going to be one hell of a meeting. We done some stuff to the car (Well, i say some stuff!) so we should be in good stead to be competitive.

I'd love to see this and I'd guess that you're thinking of Urs here, based on his performance at last years E/F's. However without Glenn Mikres, it will be intersting to see if Fat Attack can repeat these figures

Me? I just want to see some competitive numbers in all classes and everyone getting down the track safely

Based on todays news on ED (2nd April), it would seem that my assumption that the Fat Attack guys would not be joined by Glenn Mikres was wrong. It would seem that I owe Urs and his team an apology......... Ooops! Genuine mistake

Maybe, they did, maybe GM had "signed up" with UE, before he signed with Kallita ?

Anyway with no NHRA meeting this weekend, it makes things easier for all parties, no matter what was (or wasn't done)

See you at the weekend
