No more 996TT cabriolet bashing
Discussion
Now I went from a coupe to a cabriolet and I think its superb.
Why all the cabriolet bashing its got all the power only slightly more weight and offers open air fun.
There's little or no skuttle shake and the handleing is no different to the coupe.
Outside of an RS or carrera Gt there's nothing better
Title should have said "Cabriolet"

Porsche should do away with the rear seats in the open top models and see if they could make a metal hard top simlar to the merc. Now that would be perfect
Indeed. Because what Porsche 911s need, is a bit more weight over the rear axle such as you'd get with a clunky folding tin-top. Slap an autobox in it, rack up the price another 6k or so. Bosh. Sporting nirvana.

What it needs then is a clever mechanism to fold a metal roof into the front luggage compartment :-)

Two seats? You mean a Boxster?
I've been driving around with the top down the last couple of mornings and evenings with the mist rolling about. Reminded me why I can't have tin tops on the fleet
