They drive me ing mad!

Just turned into a street which I use everday to get back to my house and walking towards me are a couple of old blokes with a female of similar life expectancy. Needless to say, not 50 yards after driving up the street, from a standstill I get the waving arms gesticulating that I'm going far too fast.

Check Sat Nav after passing them and it shows 31mph and aren't accelerating anymore.

Right then, decide to turn around at the end of this 150 yard street and go back and challenge his actions. I ask what exactly were you trying to get my attention for and ,yes, you've guessed it, I am accused of travelling too fast. I inform him of the speed limit I noted on the Nav after passing them but instantly got the reply "better get it checked then". I reply with the old "just because it's a fast car and has a loud exhaust you automatically assume I'm speeding"

"Well you were going too fast" is all I get back

Arrrrrrrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, in comes Madam with her 2 pence worth as well and no matter how I plea my case, I'm still guilty. So a few more exchanges of words and without a chance of the judgement being overturned, I get out of the car, stick one on him and watch the other two run for cover................alright, perhaps that was only wishful thinking but had to make do with just telling them where to go.

Makes me blood boil!

Never argue with people who 'believe'....
Just go past again at 80 to demonstrate what 'too fast' is

What really pi$$es me off is that they dare to go out at the weekends.

Old fu*kers can go out all they want during the week but they should keep off the roads, out of the shops, restaurants and pubs at weekends.

Ba$tards.

I'd take your silencers off and thrape the living sh*t out of it outside their house during songs of praise - don't go to fast though - zero mph should do.

Dial in about 6k & drop the clutch outside their bungalow - you still won't be speeding (until the smoke clears), but you'll p155 'em right off evil

I get looks of disgust all the time in the Porker travelling at under 30mph on my way into the Estate rolleyes, however doing 30mph+ in the Company Oil Burner no-one bats an eyelid...

I say Fook em!

Nice looking car you got there not in Guisborough by any chance?

I feel for you in this situation, I really do. There's nothing more irritating than having someone rage away at you for absolutely no reason whatsoever. Particularly when they're old and one's natural deference gets in the way of being able to have a proper go back at them. Old people in Germany are so grumpy and non-specifically p*ssed off at everything that it's a topic of national debate. When confronted by one of these senile old miseries, it's best to just avoid any contact whatsoever and go about your business. Just fart quietly in their general direction as you drive past or something. Not exactly a debate worth televising, but you'll feel better.

Actually, something similar happened to me a year or so ago when driving through the village I live in. Personally, I just told the cabbage smelling old gits to F*ck Off. Not particularly mature & community spirited of me, but made me feel a hell of a lot better - until Mrs Schmalex met them at her book club & came back pretty pissed off....... shoot

Estate eh? Puts us peasants in our place biglaugh I'm afraid I get the opposite trouble: Youngsters tend to look admiringly at the car then give dissaproving looks when they see an old (erm, make that mature) bloke driving....but I guess I don't blame them. driving

Wow I love Porsche ownership..I never got to read such shite when I was a modest Lotus driver.
I was driving down the road the other day in my Porsche doing 31mph and I saw a poodle taking a crap on the path..can you imagine that..a poodle taking a crap on the path!!! Needless to say I pulled over and had a word with its elderly owner.

Hmmmm....scratchchin

This thread will probably not go down in history as PH's finest hour.

These one-foot-in-the-grave types are such a nuisance.

It's so much nicer to be young, cool, and an idiot.

Try picking them up and demonstrating 30, 40 and higher. If you get the same as I got, "it sounds so loud you must be speeding", sorry, no, this is speeding. Shuts them up and shows off the care you take around your home.

Loud and proud!
