Anybody out there in the know? Various sites suggest that an updated Boxster will be on the market for the 2008 model year. Question is when does that start?

The car company production lines are changed or new ones put in during the August holiday shutdown. This traditionally marks the change of model year. Therefore a 2008MY car would be built in September 2007 at the earliest.

As others have said during the shutdown so production starts end of Aug. Welcome to that wonderful time of year where you could have it now.. or you could wait a few more months and get the new MY..

But surely that could be anytime of year, just depends on how long you're willing to wait

John.

True, but personally if it's a couple of months difference and there was something on the MY08 other than it being a 57 plate I'd be wrestling with the decision (indeed I was last year and I chose to wait for the MY07 and the wait was horrible, relative to the fact you can't really bitch too much about how long getting a new Porsche takes!).
