Split in induction pipe!!

Whilst changing my front lambda sensor I discovered that the hard induction pipe that has heat shield on it had a very small split, PANTS.

It looks like it had been rubbing against the back of, well I'm not sure what it is but it has a pulley on it.

Got to say I hadn't noticed any drop in pressure. Looks like it had been rubbing for some time.

Oh well looks like I wll be calling the factory in the morning

Hopefully I notice a difference when I replace it.

As the split is very very small will it harm it to use the car until the part comes?

you probably only have a very small leak so it is probably ok to use it

can it be repaired? - has Gary got a 2nd hand one in stock ?

you may even be able to repair it temporary with something like araldite

Thanks for the advice Gadge.

I had thought about using something to seal it but then thouht that I might aswell change it. Although I wondered if a small weld would do the job. What do you think?

Sure a weld would be fine if its a tiny hole
