Swissol now swissvax products, see E-BAY.
Always start with the wheels high pressure cold water rinse.
I use a Swissol microfibre cloth and a wheel brush. using wheel cleaning concentrate in a clean bucket of water wash wash wash.
Then to the body work.
I use a different bucket for the body work (I keep this for washing the car only)it has a grit grille in the bottom so any bits of grit fall through to the bottom of the bucket and dont get picked up again when you rinse the cloth.
Hose (not Jet) water over entire car then wash with swissol carbath or chemical Guys maxi suds II.
Start from top to bottom small areas at a time.
Dry with "Sonus Ultimate drying towel" (I use two to get the car bone dry)
you can then depending on finish required use Swissol cleaner fluid to remove swirl marks etc,(you probably don't need to do this stage).

Use the BEST wax you can afford!
I use Swissvax Swissol "Smaragd Best of Show Wax Polish" it is saturated with 51% pure carnauba wax and in my (now revised,I used to use Zymol)opinion is just the dogs danglies.
To use a well known phrase ..Wax on ......Wax off leave the wax on the car a good 20 minutes it will haze over but will NOT turn white, polish off with clean lint free cloth and then buff with another clean cloth.
finish the black parts with swissol PNEU and stand back and admire ;0)
I don't have any commercial interest in swissol products, I just think IMO it's the best product line.

What would that do on textured plastic bumper trim Rob?
Greg, I'm assuming the bumper is painted and laquered - if so the clay bar will srtip anything laying on the laquer layer.

I use Isopropyl alchohol It's available from RS components in a spray can.
Test small inconspicuous area first.Wipe away wax,then finish with Swissol Pneu!

No, and thanks.
Think I'll try soapy water and a toothbrush (the ex girlfriends one) first. That ought to get it off.
Just wondered if there were any old wives methods for a quick clean.
Its a nightmare as it gets intyo all the little pits in the plasctc trim. Will have to be more carefull next time I wax it! (X5)
It does look nice and shiney now though!
Took some great pics last night with it parked in a field.
